Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has filed an FIR against a designer in Mumbai. Amrita alleges that a designer named Aniksha offered to pay a bribe of Rs 1 crore to end the criminal case registered against her father. Also threatened to trap them by conspiring.
At the same time, the police have registered a case against the designer and his father for conspiracy and under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Amrita said that on February 18 and 19, Aniksha had sent her video clips, voice notes and messages from unknown numbers. Due to this, tried to threaten him.
FIR was registered on 20 February
According to media reports, Amrita had filed an FIR on 20 February. The FIR states that the designer contacted Amrita for the first time in November 2021. The designer also used to visit his house. She is a jewelery and footwear designer. Both had met at an event. During this, Aniksha appealed to Amrita to wear her jewelery and footwear and promote her in public events. In the first meeting, the designer had claimed that his mother had died.
In a meeting, Aniksha claimed that her father has close relations with many political party leaders. He handed over the envelope to an employee and asked him to give it to me. When I opened the envelope, there was a hand written note in it. I did not understand what was written in it and kept it aside.
Giving information about bookies can get money from the police
Amrita claimed that once Aniksha lied to Amrita’s bodyguard and sat in her car. He told Amrita that his father used to give information about bookies to the police. He offered that money can be earned by asking the police to take action against these bookies.
Or money can be extorted from them even without taking any action against them. Amrita said that after hearing this he asked her to get down from the car. After this Amrita stopped taking his calls.
Amrita blocked the designer on 16 February
According to the FIR, on February 16, at 9.30 pm, Aniksha called Amrita and told her that her father had been made an accused in a case. If Amrita saves them, she will give them Rs 1 crore. After hearing this, Amrita hangs up and blocks his number.
