The jawans started the search in the area at night itself. During this, the jawans seized the drone in Bhindisaida. This is a DJI Matric 300RTK drone, which is used by smugglers sitting in Pakistan to cross the border of heroin and weapons.

The drone went back, but the jawans with the help of Punjab Police sealed the area at night itself and started the search operation. Seeing the action of police and jawans, the smuggler who came to pick up the consignment was forced to leave his motorcycle there and run away.

Police have seized the motorcycle so that its owner can be traced. During this, when the seized consignment was opened, a consignment of 2.5 kg heroin was recovered from it. Whose international value is being estimated at around Rs 17.5 crore.
