The country’s Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra will train at the Gloria Sports Arena in Turkey. The Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) of the Sports Ministry has approved their proposal to train for a period of 61 days in the Middle East country.
Neeraj, who also trained at the Gloria Sports Arena last year under Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) funding. Will now go to Turkey on 1st April and will stay there till 31st May. Topps will fund these for 61 days.
The funding will cover airfare, boarding and lodging, medical insurance, boarding and lodging and local transportation costs for Neeraj, his coach Klaus Batrenitz and his physiotherapist.
This time the target is 90 meters throw.
