Anurag Thakur drinking water from a handpump in a village in Ladakh on Wednesday.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday drank water by running a handpump at Debring village at an altitude of 14,000 feet on the Manali-Leh Highway in Ladakh.
He posted the video on Twitter and wrote that drinking sweet water by running a handpump in the village gave a different feeling.
It can be seen in this video that when Anurag extracted water by running a hand pump, a person started drinking water. When he left, Anurag Thakur also drank water.
Anurag Thakur was on a two-day visit to Ladakh. He met the Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel and people living in the Chamor area on the India-China border here.

Union Minister praised the soldiers
Anurag Thakur spoke to ITBP jawans monitoring the India-China border at an altitude of 15000 feet. He said, ‘I appreciate the jawans for performing their duty by facing natural challenges at this height. He also said that every citizen should work for the betterment of the country.
Here, referring to the Self-Reliant India Initiative, he said that 400 defense equipment are being manufactured in the country. Thakur said that being on LAC is a big deal. Our government is building houses at many places for the people of the Banjara community in this area.
