Praful Patel (Shinde faction) said- We had received information that Sharad Pawar sahab is present here, so we came here without informing him and took his blessings.
Ajit Pawar and his faction’s MLAs came to meet Sharad Pawar on Sunday. This meeting took place at YB Chavan Centre. After the meeting, NCP leader of Ajit faction Praful Patel said that we took Sharad Pawar’s blessings by holding his feet.
Patel said- We requested him to think about whether the NCP party should stay together and move forward strongly. They didn’t give us any feedback. Yes, he kept calm and listened to us.
After meeting Sharad Pawar, Praful Patel said these things in a conversation with the media. He told that we had received information that Sharad Pawar saheb is present here, so we came here without informing him. This is the first meeting of the Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar-led factions after joining the Eknath Shinde government.
Earlier on July 14, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar met NCP chief Sharad Pawar at his residence. According to media reports, Ajit had gone to meet his aunt Pratibha Pawar (Sharad Pawar’s wife), who was discharged from the hospital on July 14 after a surgery.
The picture is of Friday i.e. July 14, when Ajit Pawar reached his uncle Sharad Pawar’s house at around 10 pm.
On the other hand, portfolios were distributed to 9 NCP ministers who joined the Shinde government in Maharashtra on Friday. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has been made the Minister of Finance and Planning Department. Chhagan Bhujbal was entrusted with the Department of Food and Civil Supplies.
The portfolios given to 9 MLAs of NCP, including Ajit Pawar, were earlier held by 6 MLAs of BJP and 4 MLAs of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction). From whom these departments were withdrawn.
CM Shinde has 7 and Deputy CM Fadnavis has 4 departments
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has kept with him the portfolios of General Administration, Urban Development, Information and Technology Information and Public Relations, Transport, Social Justice, Environment and Climate Change and Mining. At the same time, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has the portfolios of Home, Law and Justice, Water Resources and Profitable Sector Development and Energy.

The portfolio distribution was decided in the meeting with the CM-Deputy CM.
Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and Praful Patel met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday. After this, while talking to the media, Patel had said that in the meeting held with CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis this week, a decision was taken on the distribution of portfolios.
He had said that all the portfolios were divided between BJP and Shiv Sena. Both these parties will have to give up some ministries to give portfolios to NCP ministers. He said that we did not raise the issue of portfolio till 4-5 days after joining the government. A few days ago we raised this issue, after which we had 3 meetings.
Sharad Pawar had met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on 6 July. Pawar will also attend the meeting of opposition parties to be held in Bengaluru on July 17 and 18.
9 MLAs of Ajit faction took the oath of office
On July 2, 9 NCP MLAs joined the Shinde cabinet. In this, Ajit Pawar was made the Deputy CM. Apart from this, 8 other MLAs Chhagan Bhujbal, Dhananjay Munde, Anil Patil, Dilip Valse Patil, Dharmarao Atram, Sanjay Bansode, Aditi Tatkare and Hasan Mushrif also took oath as ministers. Including 9 NCP ministers, there are now 29 cabinet ministers in Maharashtra.
NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) files petition to suspend rebel MLAs
NCP founder Sharad Pawar’s faction has demanded the temporary suspension of nine MLAs who have supported Ajit Pawar and taken oath as ministers in the Shinde-Fadnavis government.
NCP MLA and group leader Jayant Patil has filed a petition against these MLAs in the Assembly Speaker’s House. The petition has demanded that action should be taken to temporarily suspend these MLAs.
