Zydus Cadila’s corona vaccine ready: All three trials of Zycav-D vaccine completed, may soon get the approval of the center, children will also be able to get it

The company has completed all three trials of this vaccine on children aged 12 to 18 years.

The hope of getting the Karena vaccine for children in the country has also increased. Ahmedabad-based company Zydus Cadila is making this vaccine (Zycov-D). It is likely to get approval for emergency use soon. According to reports, the company is going to submit additional information about the vaccine trials to the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) this week.

The company has completed all three trials of this vaccine on children aged 12 to 18 years. Recently, DCGI had sought additional data from the company in this regard. If found satisfactory, the vaccine could be given final approval for emergency use in August. This vaccine is expected to be available in the market in September-October. The company had applied for approval for the emergency use of this vaccine on July 1.
World’s first plasmid vaccine
ZycoV-D is the world’s first plasmid DNA based vaccine. If approved, this will be the second indigenous vaccine after Bharat Biotech’s vaccine. To protect against corona, three doses of it will be administered to children aged 12 to 18 years.
