ChennaiTamil Nadu BJP IT wing chief CTR Nirmal Kumar, who joined the AIADMK on Thursday, has said that “no one betrayed him” after resigning from the party. “It was a radical decision to leave the party. Nobody cheated me. It is my decision,” he said. “Joining a party is not poaching or it is not like shopping. It is a feeling”, said CTR Nirmal Kumar.

Nirmal Kumar resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday. After leaving the party, he joined AIADMK in the presence of Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS), interim general secretary of AIADMK.



On March 6, C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar informed about his decision to leave the party on Twitter. CTR Nirmal Kumar tweeted, “All the dilemmas I have traveled through in the last 1.5 years! I have worked hard & honestly, only pain remains! Goodbye”.

Following this decision, he visited the residence of EPS, the interim general secretary of AIADMK, and joined the AIADMK. The AIADMK party also confirmed this development through its Twitter handle.

“Hon’ble Interim General Secretary Shri @EPSTamilNadu met him, today at his residence, Bharatiya Janata Party Information Technology & Social Media Wing State President Shri @CTR_Nirmalkumar met him personally & inducted himself as a core member of the association Done” tweeted the AIADMK.


CTR Nirmal Kumar made serious allegations against Tamil Nadu BJP State President K Annamalai. CTR Nirmal Kumar in his resignation statement said, “For the last one year the leaders and cadres are treated as chappals and have no concern about the party and have the petty satisfaction of spying on party functionaries and cadres ” The resignation statement further states that Tamil Nadu BJP is heading towards destruction.

However, reacting to his resignation, Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai said, “Every day thousands of people join a party and hundreds leave a party. This is the kind of politics that should happen… Tamil Nadu should have a national The party can be carried to a certain degree.”

He also attacked the ruling DMK saying, “I think CM MK Stalin is scared because Tamil Nadu TASMAC scam like Delhi liquor scam case is ready to open any time.
