YouTube is giving people a chance to watch their favorite movies and TV shows for free. The popular streaming giant has opened up thousands of shows and movies that can be watched on the big screen, mobile or web, as long as you’re okay with commercials.
YouTube has mentioned that shows like Hell’s Kitchen, Heartland and Andromeda Can be streamed on the platform for free. You can watch it on any connected smart TV with the YouTube TV app, use the YouTube app on mobile, or go to YouTube on desktop.
YouTube is already popular among billions of people, as it lets you stream hours of content, simply by signing in to your Google account, or even without it. But the prospect of watching thousands of TV shows on the platform will be appealing to many, even if they have to endure commercials.
YouTube hasn’t talked about the reason why it is making the content free, but has talked about adding 100 new content every week for viewers. So, we highly doubt that anyone will complain about this new program to the platform.
Having said that, YouTube has put a strict limit on who can view this free content. YouTube says the free service is only available to people who are living in the United States. So, if you are planning to watch free TV shows in India, luck is tough. It’s possible that YouTube could expand this free offering to other countries, but we can’t say for sure.
Online streaming platforms have slowly but surely started dominating live TV content.

And in markets like the US, the potential is huge, which is probably why YouTube has rolled out thousands of its shows to consumers and is serving them up on a platter for free.
