After winning the T20 World Cup 2024, Yashasvi Jaiswal was seen happily waving the Indian flag, seemingly caught in a trance after India’s massive win.

Young India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was spotted enjoying his own company after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title in Barbados. Crazy scenes unfolded at the Kensington Oval after India defeated South Africa by seven runs in a nail-biting final. Players like skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya shed tears of joy after India claimed the coveted ICC trophy, ending a long wait of 11 years.

Jaiswal was part of the Indian squad but did not get a chance in the competition. The opening batter celebrated emphatically after India’s T20 World Cup victory was confirmed. In a now-viral video, Jaiswal can be seen waving the tricolour in Barbados when the other Indian cricketers were celebrating the moment. The 22-year-old was in the middle of the ground along with Sanju Samson.

In the clip, pacer Arshdeep Singh could be seen hugging his parents. But Yashasvi Jaiswal appeared to be unfazed about everything. He was enjoying the moment on his own while waving the Indian flag. A fan found the scene quite adorable and shared the video on X (formerly Twitter).

“While everyone else is celebrating the victory with their families, there’s Jaiswal standing with Sanju Samson, waving the flag alone, and just soaking in the moment. It’s cute, the man’s just enjoying himself,” read the post.

The post went viral in no time, with fans branding Yashasvi Jaiswal as the “next big thing in Indian cricket.”

“When he’s lifting many trophies in the next decade, they will play this clip,” predicted a user.

A fan could see a young Rohit Sharma in Yashasvi Jaiswal. “He is so young. He is like Rohit when he experienced his first WC trophy in 2007. Big things are ahead for him. He and Rahul/Gill are going to open for India in T20 now,” read the response.

Another person hoped that Yashasvi Jaiswal will “bring more trophies for India in future.”

With Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma announcing their retirement from T20I cricket, Yashasvi Jaiswal is expected to get a crucial role in the team. The youngster has already proven his talent across all formats of the game. He has represented India in 17 T20Is so far and has scored 502 runs including four half-centuries and one hundred. Jaiswal will likely return to action in India’s upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe.
