Yash To Play Hanuman In ‘Jai HanuMan’ After Turning Ravan For Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana? Know Here – News18

It is no secret that KGF star Yash will soon be playing Ravan in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. While everyone is eagerly waiting for the film, it has now been reported that Yash is likely to play lord Hanuman in Jai Hanuman. It is a sequel of Teja Sajja starrer HanuMan, which hit theatres in January 2024.

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Yash is makers’ first choice to play the role of lord Hanuman. An insider told the entertainment portal that while Yash was ever considered for the first part of the movie, he is likely to get finalised for the sequel.

“There is some confusion in the Mumbai press over the casting of Bajrangbali Hanuman. Firstly, Teja Sajja played Hanumanth in HanuMan and he will play the same role in the sequel Jai Hanuman. Secondly, Lord Hanuman will also be a prominent part of the sequel. And yes, Yash is a very strong contender for the part. He was never considered for the first film. This is a false narrative flying around in the Mumbai media. But he is most likely to play Lord Hanuman in the sequel. Teja Sajja is not playing Lord Hanuman. He is playing Hanumanji’s bhakt Hanumanth,” the source said. However, it should also be noted that there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.

Meanwhile, Yash will also be playing Ravan in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. While Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of Ram in the film, Sai Pallavi has been roped in for the role of Sita. Earlier, Alia Bhatt was in talks for the role of Sita but she backed out due to dates-related issues. Sunny Deol has reportedly been locked for the role of Hanuman. Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also reportedly in talks for the roles of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana respectively. Recently, it was also reported that Amitabh Bachchan might play Dashrath in the movie.
