Yamaha YZF R125 gets a new sports pack with several aesthetic updates

Yamaha has given the YZF-R125 a sportier personality with the introduction of an all-new Sport Pack. The new package for entry-level sports bikes has been launched in the European market as part of its original accessories range. The new pack gives a sharp and sporty look to the already sporty motorcycle. It should be noted that the bike is a close rival of the KTM RC 125 in the international market.

The new sports pack adds a lot to the bike’s aesthetics, but the performance remains the same. The front part gets a long windscreen with a smoky tint for a more attractive look to give a completely different look. The new windscreen adds to the aerodynamics of the bike and also provides wind protection to the riders. Apart from this, the package includes new stickers for the wheels, new turn indicators, an artificial carbon-fiber finish and a redesigned number plate holder, which adds to the sporty look.

The R-125 hits the ground running with 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in tyres. The front end of the bike gets 41 mm inverted forks along with a monoshock at the rear end of the bike. Braking duties are handled by a 292 mm front disc and 220 mm at the rear end of the motorcycle.

The Yamaha YZF-R125 is powered by a 125 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The full capacity engine makes 14.5 bhp power and 11.5 Nm peak torque. The engine works in conjunction with a six-speed gearbox equipped with slipper clutch function.

There is no news of the launch of this bike in the Indian market. However, Yamaha sells its YZF-R15 in the Indian market, which may get a sports pack later.
