Performance and Build

The YZF-R3, a fully faired bike previously sold during the BS4 era, will make its return to the Indian market. Meanwhile, the naked version, MT-03, marks its debut in India. Both models will share a 321cc parallel-twin engine, delivering 42hp and 29.5Nm torque, mounted on a diamond-type frame. Unlike the R3’s previous version, both bikes will feature an upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear.

Pricing and Availability

Expectedly, the initial availability of these bikes will be as completely built units (CBU), possibly impacting their price point. As a result, they might be priced slightly higher than the KTM 390 Duke (Rs 3.11 lakh) and RC 390 (Rs 3.18 lakh), but could be more affordable compared to the Kawasaki Ninja 400 (Rs 5.24 lakh). The company’s strategy may position these bikes as a niche offering with a balance between performance and price, aiming to capture a specific market segment.
