Xiaomi may bring world’s first TV with 48MP dual cameras in China – Times of India

It looks like the camera war is slowly moving from the smartphone market to the smart TV market. Chinese consumer technology brand Xiaomi has been one of those brands that tries to win in the specs war on every front, and the cameras in smart TVs could be its next target.
According to a report by GizmoChina, the upcoming flagship of Xiaomi Mi TV The 6 – that the company will soon launch in its country – will sport 48MP dual cameras. If this happens then Xiaomi Mi TV 6 will become the first TV in the world to do so.
The report also includes a poster showing a popup selfie camera. Needless to say, this camera should assist with video calls – personal or work – or for guidance with interactive games or fitness regimes.

Xiaomi Mi TV 6: what we know so far
Previous rumors about the Mi TV 6 have suggested that it will offer 4.2.2 surround sound with spatial audio. Further, it is said to be equipped with 100W built-in speaker. The Mi TV 6 is said to have QLED. has the facility quantum dot Technology with Dolby Vision IQ. This feature is claimed to enable the TV to automatically adjust to the ambient light.
The launch of the Mi TV6 is set to take place in China on June 28 and there is no word on whether it will hit the Indian market.
Camera Support on TV: Trends in India
Smart TVs with in-built cameras have been around for a while, but the functionality hasn’t gone mainstream yet. However, it seems that both OnePlus and Xiaomi recently announced specially designed detachable webcams for TVs in India.
While the OnePlus TV camera was launched at Rs 2,499, the Xiaomi Mi TV webcam has been priced at Rs 1,999.
Both cameras offer support for wide angle video and full HD resolution pictures. Both also have a noise canceling microphone and a slider for privacy.
