New Delhi: Xiaomi has unveiled its flagship Xiaomi 12 series globally including Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X, months after unveiling the range in its home turf China. While the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro are powered by the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and sport DisplayMate A+ OLED displays, the Xiaomi 12X will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset.
“Manufactured on a 4nm process, this processor boosts GPU graphic rendering capabilities by 30% and energy efficiency by 25% over the previous generation. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12X flagship 5G processor – powered by the Snapdragon 870 – runs smoothly All three devices come with UFS 3.1 with exceptional loading and data transfer speeds along with LPDDR5 RAM with memory speeds up to 6,400 Mbps, the company said in a statement.
A high point of the Xiaomi 12 series is the one-click AI Cinema that is available on all three devices, and it offers creative options for video editing, such as Parallel World, Freeze Frame Video, and Magic Zoom Mode. The Xiaomi 12 series features high-performing cooling systems combined with a super-large vapor chamber and multiple layers of graphite to provide cooling capabilities.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is a powerful flagship with a 6.73-inch QHD+ (1,440 x 3,200 pixels) LTPO AMOLED screen with 1,500 nits peak brightness and a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus on top. It has a dynamic refresh rate that goes up to 120Hz and 480Hz touch sampling rate. The device packs a triple camera setup with 50MP Sony IMX707 sensor as the main sensor with OIS, 50MP portrait lens and 50MP ultra-wide sensor. There is a 32MP camera for selfie. The device packs a 4,600mAh battery that supports 120W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging and also offers up to 10W reverse wireless charging capability. The price of the smartphone starts at $999 or around Rs 76,000 for the 8GB/256GB model.
The Xiaomi 12 flaunts a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus on top. It has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset fitted on a smaller motherboard design. The device packs a 4,500 mAh battery with fast-charging capability of up to 67W. The main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP tele/macro camera. The Xiaomi 12 is priced at $749 or approximately Rs 57,000 for the 8GB/128GB model.
The Xiaomi 12X flaunts a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and sports the same triple rear camera setup and similar battery capacity as the Xiaomi 12. The device is powered by the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. The 5G device costs $649 or approximately Rs 49,400 for the base 8GB/128GB model.
