This week’s main event of RAW saw Zayn get a rematch against Breakker for the IC title, but this time it was in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match, that promised a thrilling finish.
The latest episode of Monday Night RAW was packed with some highly intense wrestling actions. The show featured the latest build for the company’s upcoming premium live event in Germany, Bash in Berlin.
The RAW kicked off with classic men’s action between Carlito and Damian Priest. Women’s competition saw a tag team match where the Damage CTRL squared off against Pure Fusion Collective. The show’s main event featured a championship clash as Bron Breakker laid his Intercontinental title on the line against former champion Sami Zayn.
Rhea Ripley addresses WWE Universe
Rhea Ripley began the segment by talking about how she took some time to think about what happened at WWE SummerSlam 2024. She called out Dominik Mysterio for stabbing her in the back before issuing a warning to Liv Morgan that she would not be able to run from her forever. Later, both Dominik and Morgan appeared in the crowd and watched on. Ripley then added that Morgan had taken so much from her yet she was still standing. She also said that she would be going after the champion next.
GUNTHER eats a RKO outta nowhere
Randy Orton began his promo by reminding fans how he became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in the company over 20 years ago. He was interrupted during the promo as Gunther’s music hit. The current World Heavyweight champion walked out and insulted Orton’s father and grandfather before comparing him with them. Soon Drew McIntyre made his way down the ring which allowed Orton to land the RKO on Gunther. CM Punk also arrived at the scene and started brawling with McIntyre on the ramp.
Bron Breakker retains the Intercontinental Championship
The title match began with champion Bron Breakker going after Sami Zayn right from the get-go. The ex-champion landed the Helluva Kick which secured him the first fall of the match. Breakker sealed the second fall with a powerslam followed by a huge spear on Zayn. After more back-and-forth action, the former IC title winner tried to catch Breakker with a top-rope maneuver but the champ countered with another spear to win the match via pinfall.
