NXT Battleground 2024 results: Trick Williams beats Ethan Page to retain the NXT Championship (WWE)
Trick Williams retained his NXT Championship as Kelani Jordan became the new NXT Women’s North American Champion.
WWE NXT Battleground popped off yesterday, June 9, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The premium event featured a ton of action including five championship matches. A new Women’s North American champion was set to be crowned on the night in a ladders match. Next, Axiom and Nathan Frazer laid their NXT Tag-team championships on the line against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. TNA Knockouts champion Jordynne Grace competed in her first-ever title match with the company. Lola Vice faced Shayna Baszler in an underground match. Finally, the main event saw Trick Williams defend his NXT Championship crown for the first time since dethroning Ilja Dragunov back in April.
Kelani Jordan becomes the new NXT Women’s North American Champion
Kelani Jordan had her crowning moment at NXT’s latest premium live event. Towards the closing stages of the high-drama match, Jordan and Ruca both got knocked off the ladder. Mia Yam then clotheslined Ruca out of the ring and started a brawl with Jordan who answered back with a split-legged moonsault. Jordan then ascended to the top of the ladder to grab the inaugural championship, sealing a monumental win.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson Fail To Win NXT Tag Team Championship
The Nathan Frazer and Axiom duo remained unshakable at Battleground, overcoming the best Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson could throw at them. With a last jolt of energy, the supersonic duo turned a Spanish Fly into a Phoenix Splash. The match-up was so intense that a ‘This is Awesome’ chant broke out around the arena. It seemed like the Good Brothers’ best chance to secure a victory but failing to do so, they will now have to wait for another title shot.
Roxanne Perez beats Jordynne Grace at NXT Battleground
The TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made a solid championship match debut, dominating the major portion of the fight using her strength. Despite some scepticism surrounding the new star, Grace lived up to the expectations of the fans with her wide array of wrestling moves. The match featured some high-speed back-and-forth action before Perez put the challenger to bed using the Pop Rox.

Axiom and Nathan Frazer vs Good Brothers for the NXT Tag Team Championship – Axiom and Fraser win the match by pinfall off a Phoenix Splash from Frazer on Karl Anderson.
Lola Vice vs Shayna Baszler in a NXT Underground Match – Lola Vice wins after referee intervention due to grounded punches.
Joe Coffey vs Oba Femi (c) vs Wes Lee for the NXT North American Championship – Femi retained the NXT North American Championship with a big powerbomb on Joe Coffey.
Jordynne Grace vs Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship – Perez won the match using the Pop Rox.
