Roman Reigns def. Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar was looking for a suplex early and often, but newly-crowned “suplexorcist” Roman Reigns fought back hanging on the ropes before landing some brutal elbows each time. Reigns pulls Lesnar out of the ring, bounces his face off the ring post and sends The Beast to crash Lesnar into the barricade with a Superman punch and an unconventional dive.
Lesnar heads back into the ring but is nearly hit by a Roman spear. After another Superman punch, Reigns went for another spear, but this time Lesnar went out of his way to send The Head of the Table shoulder-first into the ring post.
The Beast took advantage of a stunned reign with an F-5 with a pair of suplex for a two-count on The Tribal Chief. Lesnar wanted to end it with another F-5, but when Lesnar dropped the titleholder, Reigns’ leg hit the referee in the head.
Lesnar went for the cover and seemingly had victory in hand until he saw the unconscious referee, and Reigns caught a distracted and frustrated Lesnar with a spear. As the two men lay down on the mat looking to Paul Heyman for help, a torn Heyman tossed the championship between the two Superstars, simply shouting, “You know what to do.”
The tug of war began when Lesnar snatched the title from Reigns and was turned into a pair of superkicks by The Usos. Reigns then covered Lesnar for the win by defeating Lesnar for the WWE Championship.
