Wrestlers’ protest: 2 FIRs against Brij Bhushan filed; atleast 10 complaints of molestation

Opposing wrestlers: In the latest development in the sexual allegations case against WFI President Brij Bhushan, at least two FIRs have been registered mentioning 10 cases of molestation by players. Wrestlers have complained of ‘inappropriate touching, and asking for objectionable favours’. Some of the country’s top wrestlers are demanding the sacking and arrest of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh from the federation.

While the first FIR pertains to the allegations leveled by the minor wrestler and registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, the second pertains to outraging modesty.

“Called me to his table while eating in a restaurant. Then touched me inappropriately… touched me from chest to stomach without my permission in the wrestling association office. “Put your hand on the shoulder on the pretext of a picture… I objected.”

Meanwhile, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment leveled by women wrestlers, reiterated that he would hang himself even if a single allegation against him was proved.
