Wrestler Deepak Nehra presented a medal to his father.

Deepak Nehra, a resident of condemned Meham, who won the bronze medal in the 97 kg weight category of the Junior World Wrestling Championship held in Russia, reached the Delhi airport on Friday. He was welcomed with flowers and garlands. Mother fed churma of desi ghee to Deepak. While giving blessings, the father told Deepak that now the country has the hope of winning a medal from you in the Olympics, for which more hard work will have to be done.

Won bronze by beating Hungarian wrestler

In the World Junior Wrestling Championship held in Russia, Deepak won the bronze medal by beating a Hungarian wrestler. Deepak’s age is only 19 years. He is representing the country in the category of 97 kg.

Learning wrestling since the age of 6 by staying out of the house

Deepka’s father Surendra Nehra tells that at the age of 6, he was left outside to learn wrestling. He was sent to the Academy of Hisar, from where he learned the tricks of wrestling by working hard and winning medals in various competitions.
