Adivasi Shesh and Sai Manjrekar starrer Major, which released in theaters on June 3, is getting a good response from the audience. According to reports, the film based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, has earned over Rs 24 crore worldwide. The film is still getting a good amount of earning in theatres.
Written by Adivasi Shesha, the film is directed by Shashi Kiran Thika and produced by G Mahesh Babu of Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu. Entertainment In association with Sony Pictures International Productions and A+S Movies.
The film also became the first film by Aboriginal Balance to cross the $1 million mark at the box office in the United States.

The film has been released in 325 screens in Telugu states. On Day 6, the film earned Rs 1.2 crore in Telugu states. The Hindi version of the film has collected Rs 6 crore.
