The family of a woman who lost her life when an under-construction metro pole collapsed in Bengaluru on Tuesday recalled the horrifying moment on camera.

A woman along with her child died in the accident, while her husband and daughter were admitted to the hospital with injuries.

Lohit, the husband of the woman who lost her life in the incident, said that everything is over for her. Expressing grief over the accident, he urged the government to ensure that such incidents do not recur.

Narrating the incident, the husband said, “We were traveling in a two-wheeler. I had to drop them at a respective place and then leave. But the incident happened within a fraction of a second. I looked back and saw Then I lost my senses.” The wife and child had fallen. I had nothing in my hand.”

He asked the government to take security measures and precautions to prevent any such incident in future.

He said, “What should I tell the government, I have lost everything. The government should only ensure that such incidents do not happen in future. All safety and precautions should be taken so that others do not face this situation.” ,

Demanding the cancellation of the construction work, the father of the deceased, Madan Kumar, said that he would not take his daughter’s body until the contract was cancelled.

“I will not take the body until the license of the contractor is cancelled. Who gave them permission to build such tall pillars? The tender should be canceled and the work stopped. I will see what to do in court.” ” They said.

Nirmala, the mother-in-law of the deceased, said, “She had come to Bangalore from Davanagere 10 days ago. She had gone to drop her children to school. The incident happened around 10.30 am. We are angry.” Regarding this incident, we want justice. No high official came on the spot.

Vijayakumar, the father-in-law of the woman who died in the incident, alleged that the contractor in charge of building metro pillars in Bengaluru, where two people lost their lives when an under-construction metro pillar collapsed, did not take safety measures.

Speaking to ANI, Vijayakumar, the father-in-law of the woman who died in the incident, demanded an immediate stop to the construction work.

“The contractor in charge of Metro pillar construction apparently did not take safety measures. The construction activity should be stopped immediately as it is going on without safety,” he added.

Vijayakumar said, “If a bus or any other vehicle carrying passengers had crossed that point, there could have been more casualties. Our world has been destroyed. I demand the government to provide security measures at construction sites.” I do.”

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh for the next of kin of the deceased in the Bengaluru Metro pillar accident that claimed two lives.

Bommai told reporters that he has sought details of the accident.

“It is a most unfortunate incident. Instructions have been given to order an inquiry to find out any lapse on the part of the contractor or other reasons. An ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh will be given to the family of the deceased.” They said.
