Vadodara: Impressed by religious discourses on TV, a Surat woman left home for Mount Abu on Saturday without informing her family members.
Woman stopped on outskirts Vadodara City And after counseling by Abhay helpline, she was reunited with her family.
A mother of two, the woman accompanied her mother-in-law to the discourses daily. The helpline counselor said that she decided to leave the world and left the house on Saturday without informing anyone.
She left for Mount Abu in a private luxury bus and on the way she called her brother from the phone of the bus driver and told that she was leaving the world.
Panicked family members immediately contacted the helpline.
When the bus was passing near Vadodara, the helpline counselor stopped her near Kapurai Chowkdi and called her family members.
“We advised her by saying that she cannot leave her two young children behind because they need her. She was also told that she can practice spirituality even with her family and for this she does not need to give up everything,” said helpline coordinator Chandrakant Makwana.
After the counseling session, the woman agreed to return to Surat and live with her family.
