In another disturbing case of rash driving, a woman was flung into the air and seriously injured after being struck by a speeding car in Pimpri Chinchwad, Maharashtra.

The incident happened on Wednesday, June 12, at Swaraj Chowk within the MIDC Bhosari Police Station limits.

CCTV footage of the incident shows the moment the woman was crossing the road, struck by a speeding car from the opposite direction, and thrown several meters away. The bystanders are seen rushing to her aid immediately after the impact.

The details about the identity of the woman and the driver involved have not yet been disclosed yet.

Meanwhile, just a day prior, on June 11, another incident occurred in Pune where a woman walking along a roadside was injured after being hit by a speeding car in the Hinjawadi area.

The CCTV footage circulating on social media shows the car veering off course and striking the woman, causing her to be thrown into the air and land some distance away.

According to an official from the Pimpri Chinchwad police, initial investigations suggest that the driver may have lost control of the vehicle. The incident does not appear to be related to drunk driving.

As of now, no formal complaint has been lodged by the woman, who is reportedly from Mumbai, the police official said

“The accident took place on Tuesday afternoon when the car veered off the road and hit the woman as she was walking along the roadside. The woman received injuries. Her brother and uncle reached there shortly after the incident and took her home. They informed us that they will visit the police station to file a formal complaint,” the official stated.
