Goa BJP said that Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and state BJP President Sadanand Tanavade are in Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. The meeting comes after the exit poll results on Monday showed the Bharatiya Janata Party getting a slight lead in the state.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders and strategists in Uttarakhand also started internal discussions on possible post-poll scenarios that could emerge in the state after the Uttarakhand exit poll results.

Party strategist and BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya had arrived here on Sunday and discussed with former Union minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank at his residence how the party would perform in the elections. He is also likely to hold discussions with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and State BJP President Madan Kaushik today.

Both Congress and BJP got the support of separate exit polls to win the assembly elections in Uttarakhand. ABP News-CVoter has predicted a lead for the Congress in Uttarakhand, giving the party 32-38 seats in the 70-member assembly and 26-32 for the BJP.

“The numbers shown in the exit polls for BJP are low, the result will be different on March 10. I hope BJP will get full majority. The ceremony will take place on March 10,” Dhami said on Tuesday.

And in Goa, while most exit polls gave the BJP an edge, with some even predicting a majority for the party in the 40-member Goa Assembly, Pramod Sawant appeared more circumspect in his post-poll predictions. landscape.

While the BJP entered the polls with its ’22 plus in 2022′ slogan, Sawant said if the party remained stuck on even 17-18 seats, it would seek help from independent MLAs to form the government.

“If we stick to 17-18, I think independents will win three to four seats,” he said. Independents support those who are in the majority. I am confident of forming the government with independents,” Sawant said on Monday, a day when several exit polls had predicted a good performance for the BJP.

And sources told CNN-News18 that the Goa Congress candidate will check in at a hotel in North Goa. “Both North and South Goa candidates can check-in at this hotel tonight to avoid poaching, according to a decree from top party leaders,” the sources said.

“On the day of counting, many Congress candidates will not come to the counting centres. He will be represented by his election agent. Candidates have to stay inside the hotel till Thursday afternoon.”

ABP C-Voter exit poll has predicted between 13 to 17 seats for BJP and 12 to 16 seats for Congress. AAP is projected to win 1-5 seats.

The India Ahead-ETG poll has predicted a near majority for the BJP with 20-22 seats, while the Congress and AAP are expected to get 7-9 and 6-8 seats respectively.

According to the Republic-P Marak survey, BJP is expected to win between 16 to 20 seats, Congress 9-13 seats, AAP between 4 and 8 seats, while others are expected to win between 1 and 5 seats.

NewsX-Polstrat has projected 20-22 seats for the BJP, between 4 and 6 for the Congress, 5-7 for the AAP and 7-9 for independents.

The Times Now-Veto poll has slotted between 17 and 21 seats for the BJP, 4-6 for the Congress, between 8 and 11 for the AAP, and between 3 and 5 for the others.

The India News-Jan Ki Baat survey has also predicted 18-22 seats for BJP, 5-6 for Congress, 7-9 for AAP and 5-8 for others.

However, the India Today-Axis poll has predicted that the Congress will win between 15 and 20 seats, while the BJP will win between 14 and 18 seats, the Trinamool Congress-Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party alliance will win between 2 and 5 seats and the others 0-4. seats.

Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar also exuded confidence of winning the election with 23-26 seats.
