With the help of Vi Mi-Fi 4G router launched at Rs 2,000, you can connect 10 devices to the Internet

Vodafone Idea has launched its Vi Mi-Fi 4G router in the market, which costs Rs 2,000. A Mi-Fi router is basically a mobile router that can be carried around and lets you connect to the internet like smartphones, laptops, tablets and other devices. You already have a wide range of Mi-Fi devices available on the market, and Vi is now bringing its own device to market.

Vodafone Idea (Vi) claims that its Mi-Fi 4G router offers speeds of up to 150Mbps and the pocket-sized device packs a 2700mAh battery that can last up to 5 hours on a single charge.

After paying for a Mi-Fi 4G router, Vi users can avail postpaid plans starting at Rs 399 to access internet service provided by the telecom operator in the country. The company also says that you can connect up to 10 devices simultaneously to the Mi-Fi router to access the Internet. It is likely that the claimed 150Mbps speed will be shared between these devices.

Vi is selling its Mi-Fi 4G router through Vi Stores which are located in 60 cities across the country. Mi-Fi devices have been in the market for the past few years, with other telcos like Airtel and Reliance Jio offering their solutions with similar features and similar price tags.

Vi is also offering its existing users a Mi-Fi 4G router with a family plan as an add-on to their subscription to enable billing from a single account with a single bill.
