With a little help, Hamilton couple saves marriage after a massive fire – World Latest News Headlines

HAMILTON, Ohio – Butler County fire investigators have yet to complete an investigation into the fire at the Hanover Reserve Wedding and Events Center earlier this month.

The fire at the nearly $3 million new facility left dozens of brides and grooms scrambling to find new locations as it was booked next spring. But at least once the local couple was able to save their wedding, which was scheduled for five days by the fire – and the bride is thanking everyone who helped save her marriage.

WCPO First Interview Hamilton Health Club Manager Emily Hopton The morning after the devastating fire. She was about to have her wedding in the Hanover reserve, and was left without a place for a wedding or reception.

“I’m nervous all the time,” she told WCPO at the time.

A few days before her wedding to fiancé Jaron Weaver, she had no place to hold a reception. The caterer, DJ and photographer were all ready, and many of the 150 guests had made reservations at nearby hotels. It was too late to postpone it.

But a shocking thing happened after our report on the fire.

“People were calling and offering help,” Hopton said.

Among those offering a free alternative location was a farm in Middletown called Horse Power Farm, which has a large, immaculate barn commonly used for car shows and community events.

“She said we had room for you,” Hopton said of the woman who called. “So I immediately ran upstairs, and said, ‘Yaron, we have to go!'”

Horsepower Farms was a perfect last-minute replacement, and Hopton said the wedding and reception were almost perfect.

She wanted to thank the owners and everyone else who offered to help.

“I can’t thank him enough for the help he gave,” she said. “They made it so easy, helped us get Mission Barbecue to host our rehearsal dinner, and they made it a breeze. I can’t thank them enough.”

We have contacted the owners of the burned-out Hannover Reserve Event Center for any updates but have not received any response.
