Wipro On Wednesday, it posted a standalone net profit of Rs 2,419.8 crore, a decline of 8.67 per cent year-on-year for the quarter ended December. The IT major reported a net profit of Rs 2,649.7 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
“Wipro has delivered strong performance for the fifth consecutive quarter on both revenue and margins. Order booking has also been strong, and we have added seven new customers to the league in revenue exceeding $100 million in the past 12 months,” said Thierry Delaporte, the company’s chief executive officer and director.
The Wipro board also announced an interim dividend of Re 1 per share. The record date for this will be January 24, 2022 and payment will be made on or before February 5, 2022.
