Delhiites are surprised by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal campaigning without a muffler. During one such MCD election campaign on Wednesday morning, a woman from the crowd asked, “Sir, why are you not wearing a muffler?” Kejriwal replied very bluntly, “Abhi itni chaand nahi hai”.

The Delhi Chief Minister is campaigning in the city ahead of the December 4 civic polls. Kejriwal’s muffler is one of the many iconic things about him that is popular among people.

AAP will win 230 seats: Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that AAP would win 230 out of 250 seats in the MCD elections. He also said that if AAP is voted to power, it will launch a ‘Janata Chalagi MCD’ campaign, where RWAs will be given the status of ‘mini councillors’ (mini councillors).

“People can approach this RWA to get their work done. The amount will be given to the RWAs to run their offices. RWA will be empowered. The real aim behind this is to get the people of Delhi, the rulers of Delhi to take their own decisions. I appeal to all RWAs to support you. We will empower RWAs politically and economically.

“We will create a transparent framework. We will also rely on online platforms so that MLAs, corporators and RWAs all know where the problem is and what is the accountability.

AAP’s ’10 Guarantees’ for Ease of Doing Business in Delhi

Ahead of the Delhi MCD elections, AAP’s trade wing on Tuesday announced ’10 guarantees’ for ease of doing business in the city, including desealing shops, conversion and resolving parking charges.

AAP trade wing convenor Brijesh Goyal and president Subhash Khandelwal released the guarantee cards after taking out a march at Kashmere Gate market here.

Over five lakh pamphlets announcing the guarantee will be distributed in 50 major markets in the national capital. The guarantees given by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) include provision of cleanliness in markets, stoppage of increase in all taxes like house tax, trade/factory license and provision of toilets for women in markets.
