CHANDIGARH: It is celebration time for Aam Aadmi Party and popular leader and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is getting married today. This is the first marriage of 48-year-old CM. He separated from his first wife in 2015 and has two children from his first marriage. Now with Mann settling down, questions are arising as to when the party’s “eligible bachelor” Raghav Chadha will tie the knot!
What people were talking about was Chadha’s social media post. On Twitter and Instagram, Chaddha – congratulating Maan – wrote, “Chhote da number vadde ton bad hi aunda hai (Chhote ki turn comes after big). Best wishes to my vadde Veer Maan saab and Dr Gurpreet Kaur. Blessed married life ” His post also had a snapshot of a journalist’s tweet, sharing a collage of Mann and his bride, saying, “And one thought Raghav Chaddha was the most eligible bachelor among you :)”
Bhagwant Mann’s second marriage
Bhagwant Mann is getting married to Dr Gurpreet Kaur, who belongs to Pehowa in Kurukshetra, Haryana and as per news reports, Dr. Kaur has completed MBBS from Maharishi Markandeshwar University in Mullana (District Ambala), Haryana in 2018. She is currently working as a physician, according to news reports. In a TV interview, Raghav Chadha said that Dr Kaur had earlier campaigned for AAP. The wedding will only be attended by family members including Mann’s mother, sister, relatives and some guests. Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal is expected to attend. Sources said that this marriage is arranged.
Apart from the best wishes for Mann from his party members, there was an influx of congratulations from the opposition camp. Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring also congratulated Mann as he began “a new chapter in his life”. He tweeted, “My heartiest congratulations to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann ji on starting a new chapter in your life from tomorrow. Best wishes for a happy and blissful married life.”
