Arbaaz Merchant, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the drugs-on-cruise case on October 3, was released from central Mumbai’s Arthur Road jail on Sunday, three days after being granted bail by the Bombay High Court. Court.

The High Court on Thursday allowed the bail pleas of actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and fashion model Munmun Dhamecha, who were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the same case.

Aryan Khan was released from Arthur Road Jail on Saturday, while Ms Dhamecha walked out of Byculla Women’s Jail in Mumbai at around 11 am on Sunday.

Mr. Merchant was released from prison later in the day after completing all legal formalities.

Talking to reporters outside the jail, his father Aslam Merchant said, “The High Court has put strict conditions while granting him bail. But being a lawyer, I will ensure that these conditions are followed. And the rule… he will not do anything that is against him.”

On Friday afternoon, the High Court had made available its operative order in which it imposed 14 bail conditions on Aryan Khan, Mr Merchant and Ms Dhamecha, each of whom were released on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh each along with one or two sureties. Was. cost.

In a five-page order, the high court said the trio will have to submit their passports before the NDPS court and not leave India without the special court’s permission. They will also have to be present in the NCB office every Friday between 11 AM to 2 PM to mark their attendance.

A special court in Mumbai on Saturday granted bail to alleged drug smuggler Achit Kumar and eight others, who were arrested by the NCB after a raid on a cruise ship. Out of the 20 people arrested by NCB after the raid, 14 have got bail so far.
