Will there be 30% weightage in the final result in CBSE Term 1 board exam? Board is yet to decide

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) A recent circular that has gone viral on social media platforms has claimed that Term 1 exam will have 30 percent weightage and Term 2 will have the remaining 70 percent weightage. However, the board has clarified that the notice is fake and no such announcement has been made. CBSE is yet to finalize the weightage of both the posts in the final result.

The board had divided the syllabus into 50-50, but the exact amount of marks dedicated for each term is yet to be notified by the board. It is likely that the weightage of both the posts will be announced at the time of declaration of Term 2 results. The final marks will be calculated on the basis of Term 1, Term 2, Internal Assessment and Practical.

Amidst the ongoing debate between students and teachers and students over the weightage of each term, fake notices started doing the rounds on social media platforms. Many students are demanding that the weightage of Term 1 result be reduced due to the alleged cheating in several schools.

Though the board is yet to issue any statement on this, as in the first term the students took the exam from their respective schools, there were reports that the students got help from their teachers during the exam. According to the students, giving equal weightage Both terms would be unfair to those who did not cheat in the meantime Term 1 exam.

Students and teachers are currently demanding that the Term 1 exam result should have around 10 to 30 percent weightage in the final result. The remaining marks should be allotted for 2 more internal assessment scores.

The board has asked for term 2 that the students will be allotted their respective schools not as exam centers but as different schools. Term 2 exams for both class 10 and 12 will begin from April 26 and will continue till mid-June.
