New Delhi: With the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh due early next year, there are several issues that must be running in the minds of voters before they cast their votes.
While unemployment, farmers’ protest, and women’s safety are going to be some of the main election issues, the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya is certainly one of the topics that will be discussed the most.
The construction of the Ram Mandir temple in Ayodhya began after the Supreme Court ruled in its favor in 2019.
On the 29th anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid, ABP News and CVoter conducted a snap poll and surveyed 2,064 people to understand the mood of the people on it.
ABP News and CVoter spoke to the people of Uttar Pradesh and asked them questions about the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and how much impact it will have during the 2022 UP assembly elections.
ABP News and CVoter spoke to supporters of BJP, Congress, Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party and recorded different responses.
Q1: Will the construction of Ram temple benefit BJP in the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh?
A total of 58.6% people felt that the construction of Ram temple would benefit the ruling BJP in the upcoming assembly elections, while 41.4% felt that it would not benefit the BJP.
Separate data shows that 79.2% BJP supporters, 51.9% Congress supporters, 31.3% SP supporters and 35.7% BSP supporters felt that the construction of Ram temple would benefit the BJP.

Q: If BJP wins the election, how much credit would you give for the victory of Ram Mandir?
Of the total respondents, 50.6% said that if the BJP wins the election, they would attribute the victory to the construction of the Ram temple. While 28% of the respondents said that they would not attribute the BJP’s victory to the construction of Ram Mandir, 21.4% did not know whether they would attribute it to the construction of Ram Mandir or not.
59.3% BJP supporters, 43.2% Congress supporters, 34.2% SP supporters while 46.7% BSP supporters said they would attribute the BJP’s victory to the construction of the Ram temple.

As far as BJP and SP supporters are concerned, the survey has revealed a polarizing reaction. It was important that Congress supporters did not shy away from the BJP’s response.
