The petitioners have sought setting aside of the prescribed date for the entrance examination and re-scheduling it after four to six weeks on several grounds, including the schedule of national level examinations i.e. NEET, JEE and Central University Entrance Examination (CUET). The petition also states that this year, the notification for NEET (UG) was issued almost 100 days before the examination and the examination schedule is unfair and arbitrary.

“Despite being aware of the genuine and valid complaints of the petitioners, the Respondents have failed to take timely decision regarding rescheduling of NEET-UG 2022 and have created confusion among the students by not issuing the admit cards to the students. 11 July 2022,” the petition said.
