SHAHJAHANPUR: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Leader Rakesh Tikait said on saturday farmers Protests will continue on the borders of Delhi till the withdrawal of three controversial agriculture laws.
He alleged that the nexus between the central government and corporates was meant to “rob” farmers of their rights.
BKU’s national spokesperson Tikait said that till the black law is not withdrawn, the farmers will remain on the borders of Delhi. He said that farmers are now aware of their rights.
He alleged that the government was not sensitive to protecting the rights of farmers and said that “the time has come for the farmer warriors to shake the roots of the government”.
Tikait and other farmer leaders had come to Bunda tehsil here to pay tribute to Sant Sukhdev Singh on his 38th death anniversary.
BKU (Chanuni faction) national president Gurnam Singh Chanuni termed the farmers’ movement as a “dharma yudh” being fought to protect the rights of the farmers.
He said that the intention of the government is to enslave the farmers, which will not be allowed to happen under any circumstances.
On this occasion, the leaders of about half a dozen farmer unions asked the farmers to reach Delhi on their call.
Recently, Tikait led a large farmers’ mahapanchayat in Muzaffarnagar to put pressure on the central government to take the three back. agricultural law.
He has already announced that he will work to ensure the defeat of BJP in the upcoming UP elections on the issue of three legislations.
