Coimbatore: The city police on Sunday arrested a 30-year-old man and his 49-year-old mother for allegedly killing their father over a domestic dispute at their residence in Ondipudur’s Sri Kamchi Nagar 1st Street.
The police identified the deceased as follows S Narayanasamy52, and those arrested were called N. In form of PrincePhotojournalist of a Tamil daily and his mother Rajeshwari,
Rajkumar and his wife R Sindhu were living with their parents. A police officer said that his father Narayanasamy was in a relationship with a woman. “On Sunday, a baby shower ceremony was held for Sindhu at a temple in Nilikonampalayam. Narayanasamy had invited her boyfriend to the event and she attended. This irritated his wife Rajeshwari, who fought with him. Narayanasamy abused his wife and later left for home. After reaching home, at around 2.45 pm, Rajeshwari and Rajkumar got into a fight with Narayanasamy. Rajeshwari stabbed her husband in the genitals and the prince cut him with a sickle. Narayanasamy suffered serious injuries and died on the spot.”
singanallur Police sent the body to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for postmortem. Inspector P Arun registered a case against Rajeshwari and Rajkumar under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code and arrested them on Monday morning.
