Saikiran and Laya were rumoured to be in a relationship for a long time.
Celebs and their love life has always been in the limelight. Many times we hear news about two co-actors dating each other, which at times turns out to be just rumours. For many celebs, film or a show’s sets play the cupid for uniting them with the love of their life. Sounds cute and romantic? Well, hold your horses. There also have been many instances where two actors loved each other but their relationship couldn’t blossom into marriage. Similar was the case with Telugu actor Saikiran and actress Laya, who were rumoured to be in a relationship for a long time. Reports suggested that the two were even planning to get married but unfortunately, it couldn’t happen and the duo parted ways.
In 2001, Saikiran and Laya acted in the film Preminchu. The film was a hit and the audience was left in awe of their on-screen pairing. It was rumoured that the duo fell in love during the film’s shooting and were about to get married soon but life had other plans for them.
Last year, Saikiran opened up about his marriage plans with Laya. He shared that their families also wanted them to get settled together, but both families also had their beliefs in horoscopes. Their marriage plans were put aside as their horoscopes didn’t match and eventually, the couple had to part ways.
Later, Saikiran married a software specialist named Vyshnavi in 2010. He currently lives in Hyderabad.
Laya, on the other hand, tied the knot with Dr Sri Ganesh Gotry in 2006 and settled in the US. The couple are doting parents to a son and a daughter.
Saikiran first came into the limelight for his performance in the 2000 film Nuvvekavali which gathered him a lot of appreciation. Later he appeared in several other big Telugu films like Rave Na Chelia, Darling Darling, Manasunte Chalu, Aadante Ado Typeu and Pelli Paro.
Apart from the regional films, Saikiran has also appeared in several Telugu TV serials like Sudi Gundalu, Koilamma, Abhilasha, Maunaragam, Inti Guttu and others. He currently plays the role of Mahendra in the TV serial Guppedantha Manasu.
Laya, on the other hand, is all set to make her Tollywood comeback after a long hiatus of 20 years with south superstar Nithin’s upcoming film Thammudu.
