Petrol prices today rose by over 100 pence per liter, with an increase of 80 pence per liter for petrol and 70 pence for diesel, taking the total increase in rates to 4.80 pence per liter in a week. According to a price statement by state petroleum traders, the price of petrol in Delhi will now be 100.21 per liter, from 99.41 earlier, and diesel will be priced at 91.47 per liter, from 90.77 earlier. Municipal taxes vary from state to state, and rates have been raised across the country.
