Kejriwal has been promoting Bhagwant Mann continuously for a few days.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will announce the CM face in Punjab today. Party convener Arvind Kejriwal will come to Mohali and announce it. AAP had sought public opinion by issuing a mobile number for this and in 3 days 21.59 lakh people gave their opinion. In this race, the name of Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann is being considered at the forefront.

Arvind Kejriwal has already made it clear that he is not in the race for CM in Punjab. The CM face of Punjab will be from the Sikh community. In 2017, AAP suffered a major setback because of the fact that the CM face was not from the Sikh community. Opponents said that someone from outside can become the Chief Minister, due to which Punjabi kept moving away from AAP.

Kejriwal had released the number for public opinion in Mohali itself.

no competition held

AAP is definitely claiming that for the first time it is deciding the CM face based on public opinion. There was no competition in this. AAP did not get the voting done by forwarding the names of the leaders. Let us inform that apart from Bhagwant Mann, the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Harpal Cheema and Kultar Sandhwan were also being considered in this race.

Campaigning still on Kejriwal’s face

AAP’s campaign in Punjab is still being done on the face of Arvind Kejriwal. AAP is asking for an opportunity in Punjab in the name of Kejriwal. AAP has also released a poster, in which Kejriwal has been told only one solution for corruption, weak government schools, bad hospitals, expensive electricity and water bills and unemployment.
