New Delhi: A 19-year-old girl recently grabbed everyone’s attention after pictures and videos of her traveling in the Delhi Metro wearing just a bra and a miniskirt went viral on the internet. The girl, known as the ‘Delhi Metro Viral Video Girl’, has since been facing public scrutiny and criticism for her quirky fashion sense. He was later identified as Rhythm Chanana. The girl started trending after a Twitter handle known as NCMIndia Council for Men Affairs shared a picture in which she can be seen sitting with a backpack on her lap next to other women commuters inside a coach in the Delhi Metro.

As the girl gets up to get off the Delhi Metro, she is seen wearing just a bra and a miniskirt. The 9 second long video of the girl was allegedly taken by a fellow passenger. Even though many slammed the girl for her peculiar dressing sense, there were others who blamed the person who took her picture and accused him of violating her privacy.

Several users on Twitter said that a girl should be allowed to wear whatever she likes and no one has the right to propagate what she should and shouldn’t do.



‘No publicity stunt’

Later, reacting to her sudden rise to fame on social media, Rhythm Chanana said that she is not at all bothered by people’s negative comments and people staring at her body. Talking to a news channel, Rhythm Chanana said that it is only her choice what she will wear. Rhythm also clarified that he did not do this for instant fame or publicity. She said, “I don’t care what people say.”

‘Not inspired by Urfi Javed’


Interestingly, reacting to her comparison with Bigg Boss OTT star and fashionista Urofi Javed, Rhythm claimed that she was ‘in no way inspired’ by the latter. She further said that she came to know about Urofi Javed when a close friend showed her pictures recently. Rhythm Channa also shared that this is not the first time that she has been spotted wearing a bra and mini skirt and she has been traveling in similar outfits for quite some time now.

However, the 19-year-old’s regret is that her family strictly hates her outfit. Reacting to her viral video, the girl said that Delhi Metro should strictly enforce the “no videography inside metro” rule and take action against the person who filmed her.

It may be noted that Delhi Metro issued a statement on Monday saying, ‘DMRC expects its passengers to follow all social etiquettes and protocols which are acceptable in the society. Sensitivities of other fellow commuters.” “Indecency has been listed as a punishable offense under section 59” of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) Operation and Maintenance Act, it pointed out.

“We appeal to all our passengers to please maintain decorum while traveling in public transport system like Metro.
