On Wednesday the White House is expected to announce about $1 billion in new weapons aid for Ukraine, including rounds for anti-ship rocket systems, artillery rockets and howitzers, people familiar with the package said.
The aid packages, which come as US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin meeting with aides in Brussels, can be broken down into two categories: the transfer of additional defense articles from US stocks and those being funded by other weapons. .
