Jammu: Whenever the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections are held, everyone should participate in it and Congress Preparations should be started for this, senior party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Saturday.
In a brief conversation with reporters outside his residence here, Azad said in response to a question about the possibility of assembly elections in the Union Territory, that at present the delimitation exercise is going on.
The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister is in the city on a three-day visit and upon his arrival at the airport, supporters demanded the expulsion of Congress leaders who burnt his effigy during a protest in March.
During a conversation with reporters, when Azad was told that the BJP has started preparing for the assembly elections, Azad said that all parties, including the Congress, should prepare. He said that everyone should participate in the elections.
