‘When There Was No Internet …’: J&K’s Prasanjeet Kaur Who Got UPSC AIR 11

Prasanjit Kaur is a resident of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil services exam is considered one of the toughest exams in the country, and candidates work hard for years to crack it. However, there are some people who use hard work and skill, and even sacrifice their comfort to clear the exam in the first attempt. Prasanjit Kaur, UPSC 2022 AIR 11, has made her family proud and fulfilled her dream of clearing the UPSC exam in her first attempt. She revealed that it was her hard work and the sacrifices she made that helped her clear the exam.

Prasanjit is a resident of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Her father, Nirmal Singh, who is a pharmacist in the health department, revealed in an interview that there was a time when there was no internet in the area. He said that despite these hurdles, his daughter worked hard and cleared the civil services exam in her very first attempt. Prasannajit gave the credit of his success to his family, friends, teachers and college professors.

According to reports, he had earlier cleared the J&K Administrative Services exam as well, but it was his dream to become an IAS officer. After this she started working even more diligently. Her parents revealed that she even stopped attending family gatherings to prepare for UPSC.

During an interview, Prasanjit Kaur revealed that when there was no internet in her area, she used to study NCERT books, important study material for preparation. Apart from this, he also used various standard books and focused on current affairs.

Prasanjeet further said that hard work and patience are the two most important things to clear the exam. He said that with these things even a common man can clear the UPSC Civil Services Exam.
