During his appearance on Simi Garewal’s chat show, Ranveer revealed how Shah Rukh told him the ‘cutest things’ after watching Band Baaja Baaraat. The actor shared his conversation with director Maneesh Sharma after the release of the film. “I met Manish and he said, ‘Aa gaya ko bulao? Khush hai (Did you get a call? Are you happy now)’?” Ranveer recalled that he was confused as to which call he was referring to. To take Ranveer out of his misery, Manish simply asks him to check his phone. The actor followed suit and to his surprise, he missed calls from none other than Shah Rukh.
“I missed his (Shah Rukh) call, can you imagine,” Ranveer said, further revealing that he was sitting with his phone and waiting for it to ring again. The actor shared that King Khan had the sweetest things to say on his performance in Band Baaja Baaraat. “I was running around the office pumping my fists and ‘I couldn’t believe he called and I couldn’t believe he said that…'” he had said.
Meanwhile, Ranveer will be seen in the first episode of Koffee With Karan, Season 7, which starts on July 7. The actor will be seen alongside his Rocky and Rani Ki love story co-star Alia Bhatt.
