Ranbir Kapoor opens up about Alia Bhatt

During the promotions of Ayan Mukerji-directed Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, the Animal actor said, “We met each other on 31st December 2017. We had gone to Israel to do some prep for Brahmastra, and we sat together on the plane. That’s when we really started talking and getting to know each other better.” Ranbir further revealed that they both were single at that time, so things fell into place naturally. They imagined marrying and having grandkids at that time only while the plane was taking off. “We both were single at that time. So it was a very natural thing that happened. I think that day only we got married in our heads. We had already thought of grandkids,” added Ranbir.
Meanwhile, Ranbir and Alia are coming together for the second time in Love And War. Pinkvilla quoted sources saying that the film Love And War shoot will begin with Ranbir Kapoor in the first week of October, with Vicky Kaushal expected to join in around October 10. “Sanjay Leela Bhansali begins his journey on Love And War by shooting for some sole sequences featuring Ranbir Kapoor and then moves on the friendship portions of RK and Vicky. He has planned and designed the schedule keeping the dates of his star-cast in mind,” revealed a source.
The source further added, “Alia has allotted bulk dates to YRF for the female spy universe film, Alpha. She will start Love And War after calling it a wrap on Alpha by end of November/early December.”
The film was announced earlier this year. Alia and Vicky had announced the film on Instagram. Around the same time, Pinkvilla reported that it is an original love story.
The film was announced on January 24, 2024. The film is slated to release on Christmas 2025. The news of the film was shared by Kaushal on Instagram. The post featured the announcement along with Kaushal, Bhatt and Kapoor’s signatures. With Love and War, Ranbir and Vicky are reuniting on the big screen after Sanju and Ranbir and Alia are being paired together after Brahmastra.
