Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan have been married for over 51 years.

Jaya Bachchan said that she hasn’t seen Amitabh Bachchan send flowers, only heard about it.

Amitabh Bachchan is known to send flowers and a letter to actors if he particularly likes their performance in a film. Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Saiyami Kher are only some of the actors who have shared that they received this sweet gesture from the veteran actor. However, Jaya Bachchan claims that she has never been a recipient of this gesture.

Back in 2022, Amitabh Bachchan was joined by Jaya and Abhishek Bachchan while he was hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati. Jaya Bachchan said, “Dekha toh nahi hai, magar suna hai ki aap jab kisi ke kaam se prabhaavit hote hain ya svabhaav se, unko kuch phool bhejte hain, chitthi bhejte hain. Vaise aaj tak mujhe kabhi nahi mila. Bhejte hain? ((I have not seen but heard that when you like someone’s work or their nature, you send flowers and letters to them. But you’ve never sent me one. Do you send them?)”

Amitabh Bachchan was left speechless as he chewed on to something. Abhishek Bachchan quipped, “Voh chaba rahe hain abhi iss waqt (He is chewing right now).” Jaya Bachchan remarked, “Baat ko bhi chaba rahe hain (He’s also chewing the question).” This left everyone, including Amitabh, in splits. The actor said, “Yeh karyakaram toh sarvajanik horaha hai, yaar yeh galat hai (This is happening in public. This is wrong).” Abhishek joked in Hindi, “No not at all, you see what happens next.”

This clip recently surfaced on Reddit and went viral on the microblogging site. Fans flocked to the comments section to appreciate Jaya and Amitabh’s chemistry and called them the cutest couple.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Jaya Bachchan was last seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. As for Amitabh Bachchan, he is currently making waves for his role as Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD.

Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Kalki 2898 AD is getting an overwhelming response from the audience. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan took to his social handle and penned a gratitude note for the film’s success. He took to his X handle and wrote, “T 5062 – the essence of KALKI resounds within and without .. and my gracious gratitude.”

The Nag Ashwin film heavily draws inspiration from Mahabharat. Kalki 2898 AD is set in a dystopian future and revolves around four people — a pregnant woman named Sumathi (Deepika Padukone), who is said to be carrying a child that is the 10th avatar of Vishnu; the immortal Ashwatthama (played by Amitabh Bachchan) who has been tasked to protect the unborn child; a ruthless villain named Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan), who wants the child dead for he knows the child will be the end of the baddie; and Bhairava (Prabhas), a bounty hunter who would sell anyone in return of money.
