American rapper Cardi B is known for being her unfiltered self to express herself. The Bodak Yellow rapper opened up about his bitter experience in the past with his ex-boyfriend during his recent interview. She recalled that her ex-boyfriend stole $20,000 from her when she was younger.
The 29-year-old rapper revealed this on Tuesday on Angela Yee’s “Lip Service” podcast. As reported by Page Six, Cardi B said, “When I was 20… I used to say so much: ‘I’m 20, and I have USD 20,000.’ And he used to publicize me because I worked hard for it.
Things turned upside down for him when he counted the money one day and realized that there was only 1,000 USD left.
She told Yi, “This person took my money. He took my money and didn’t answer the phone all day [when I called to ask about it], I was going crazy, and then he was like, ‘Yeah, I took the money because I’m in California’ [weed to sell],
The Money rapper shared that she was “hurt” by the incident. She also said that it made her decide not to date “broken boys” anymore.
When Yi asked if she ever got the money back, Cardi replied, “This guy gave me like $4,000 back, talking about weed. … Like, it traumatized me. I Can’t. Look, I’m trembling [now],
As for her personal life, the rodeo singer secretly married her rapper husband Offset in September 2017. They share two children together: a 3-year-old daughter Kulture and a 10-month-old son Wave.
Cardi B, who recently released a new single, ‘Hot Sh*t’, held an ‘Ask Cardi’ Q&A session with her fans to celebrate it. During the session, the rapper dropped a bunch of bombshells, including his BTS bias.
