When BTS member Jungkook saved anchor Kim Sung Joo’s life during concert

In addition to being one of the best-known global music artists, BTS also happens to be a life-saving collaborator. Consisting of Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, V, RM, the septet is often seen promoting kindness and self-love through their lyrics, but sometimes they literally save lives. .

Back in 2016, when the group was celebrating the Haliyu wave at the DMC Festival along with several other artists like EXO, SHINee, 2PM, TWICE, and more, Jungkook happened to save the show’s host from a fatal injury. The behind-the-scenes incident was revealed by television personality Kim Sung Joo during an episode of Visiting Teacher in 2018. Sung Joo, who was hosting the 2016 concert, revealed during the episode that the incident happened just before the Grammy-nominated cast performed. His hit song Fire. However, before the band began performing, BTS members had to get on stage in person with the help of an elevator located under the main stage.

As soon as he announced BTS’s performance on the main stage, Sung Joo didn’t realize that the lifts had been lowered leaving a wider space on the stage. As he was leaving the stage, he fell straight into Jungkook’s elevator. With such a fatal fall, Sung Joo could have suffered a damaging injury. However, he revealed in a 2018 episode of The Visiting Teacher Show that Jungkook caught him in time and saved him from harm. Sung Joo expressed his gratitude to the youngest member of the band and said that whenever he sees BTS on screen, he is reminded of the life-saving act.

After more than a year away from their fans due to the pandemic, BTS is soon back for live concert shows and meeting Cena. The South Korean band will hold a concert in Los Angeles later this month.
