WhatsApp: WhatsApp plans to give group admins this new chat control feature – Times of India

WhatsApp It keeps on bringing new features for its users from time to time. According to a tweet by WaBetaInfo, the instant messaging platform is reportedly working on a new chat feature for group admins. WhatsApp is planning to bring the ability for group admins to delete messages sent by other group members in a future update.
“If you are a group admin, you will be able to delete any message for everyone in your group, in a future update to WhatsApp Beta. Android, A good moderation, after all” reads the post shared on Twitter.
WhatsApp group admins will be able to delete anyone’s message without asking. This will give users more control over group chats and enable them to delete inappropriate messages.
When an administrator deletes a particular message in a group chat, Android users will see a note saying “It was deleted by an administrator”. As mentioned in the tweet, this feature will be available to the users in a future update. It will be available on WhatsApp Beta for Android.
In another related update, WhatsApp is also working on a redesigned media picker that aims to improve the way multiple media are sent after taking a photo. With the new design, WhatsApp will show two new tabs that make it easy to quickly find the media you want to share to your contacts or status updates. These will include more recent galleries. WaBetaInfo in its report states that the redesigned media picker will not be available when a user wants to share media from the chat as usual. This will be available only when someone takes a photo with the in-app camera.
