WhatsApp new update: Users may soon get ‘Undo’ button for status emergency

New Delhi: WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to quickly delete accidentally uploaded statuses or require more editing before the final upload. The WhatsApp ‘Undo’ feature is currently in the testing phase and the Facebook-owned messaging platform plans to roll out the new feature.

With the coming ‘Undo’ button for WhatsApp ‘Status’, you will be able to quickly delete an accidentally uploaded photo or video. For those who do not update WhatsApp status, similar to Instagram Stories.

Photos or videos uploaded in the Status section automatically disappear after 24 hours of upload. However, users get the option to delete photos and videos by going to the status section. But it takes time, you have no option to delete the status in time before people in your contacts see it.

The upcoming feature will definitely solve this issue. According to a report by WABetaInfo, the ‘Undo’ button will be located on the opposite side of the ‘Send Status’ button. The location of the ‘Undo’ button will make it easier for users to delete the status before it is finally uploaded.
