Google has announced that the chat history feature of WhatsApp which allows iPhone To migrate users WhatsApp Chat on Android is now available on all Pixel smartphones. California-based giant Mountain View has also said that the feature will be available on all new smartphones that will launch with Android 12. WhatsApp chat history migration feature was only available on samsung Smartphone so far.
Chat history migration feature allows users to easily transfer chats from their old iPhone to Android phone. The only requirements are that both the smartphones have WhatsApp up to date and a USB Type-C to Lightning cable. Google says that when setting up an Android phone, users will be prompted to scan a QR code with their iPhone that will let users initiate the transfer process.
Google says that your iPhone will not receive any WhatsApp messages during the transfer, in order to prevent data loss while transferring the chats. Google says that manufacturers may add support for this feature when updating their smartphones to Android 12, so it’s possible that people with existing smartphones will have access to the feature at some point. Google is working with phone makers to ensure that smartphones shipping with Android 12 have the Transfer Chat feature out of the box.
